For three years Jesse and Catherine Paul have showcased not only Jesse Paul’s culinary skills, but also the bountiful local crops coming out of San Diego’s agricultural regions. They started their Escondido restaurant, The Wooden Spoon, with a passion to support produce from nearby farms. Their mission statement is “The Wooden Spoon intends to provide the freshest quality foods that are sourced from local farms and artisans. We are organic when possible, GMO-free, sustainable and natural. Our food is made with love and respect. We are guided by passion and driven by perfection.”
