New toothpastes are coming to the market for treating root sensitivity and reversing cavities. The new ingredient that allows self-healing and remineralization of the teeth is: calcium sodium phosphosilicate.
Many toothpaste brands are including this exciting, tooth-rebuilding ingredient in their products. One natural product company, Burt’s Bees, has introduced their own toothpaste with this ingredient. Called, “Natural toothpaste- Multicare without Fluoride“, this toothpaste is now available in stores and online for patients to rebuild and repair their sensitive teeth, prevent and reverse cavities naturally.
The toothpaste releases calcium and phosphate ions into the mouth to form a calcium phosphate layer and crystallizes as hydroxyapatite, a form of hard and strong mineral in teeth.
- Fluoride-free
- Sodium lauryl sulphate-free
- No artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or sweeteners
- Remineralizes sensitive roots
- Prevents and remineralizes cavities
The toothpaste also, with regular brushing, reduces plaque, whitens teeth by gently removing surface stains, promotes healthy gums and freshens your breath.

Breaking news: Burt’s Bees has decided to discontinue their toothpaste as of June, 2013. It was a great product that would have helped alot of people with sensitive teeth but now its gone. Maybe the public could send Burt’s Bees letters of support to bring this toothpaste back? http://www.burtsbees.com
