New studies have found a causal relationship between mercury and Parkinson’s disease.
Parkinson’s disease results for the gradual degeneration of nerve cells in the portion of the midbrain that controls movements. Researchers have found that some people with specific genetic mutations are more susceptible to environmental toxins, such as mercury and pesticides. The early in life exposure to these environmental toxins makes them more susceptible to Parkinson’s disease.
In the case of mercury, the exposure to mercury targets the mitochondria of all the body’s cells. Here it changes the mitochondrion membrane, which changes the function of the cells and leads to more oxidative stress and cell death.
Mercury exposure also lowers the cell’s levels of Glutathione, Dopamine and NAD. These cellular changes specifically target the portion of the midbrain that controls movement. The mercury sensitive patient then shows symptoms of Parkinson’s disease when they reach the age of about 60 years old.
The combination of these genetic mutations, early in life exposure to mercury or pesticides, and time lead to the development of Parkinson’s disease in later life.
The supplementation of NAD prevents the mercury induced changes to the mitochondria and protects the body from Glutathione damage from mercury.
If you or a loved one is showing signs of Parkinson’s disease or has the disease, please find a medical practitioner that is familiar with the benefits of NAD and Glutathione supplementation for this condition.
As always I can safely remove any existing mercury fillings and replace them with safer dental materials and suggest medical practitioners that can help you with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions.

Hi, on this Hg Parkinson’s link can you provide a link (or site the actual study) so my doctor friend who has Parkinson will pay real attention. TIA, kc
Great question Kaseh,
My prayers go out to your friend with Parkinson’s.
I love to see patients that desire to learn more about their health and am willing to research new solutions.
Here is a start to your journey of learning. After reading these articles you can google the key words you are interested in, but you will usually only get the abstracts of the studies. To get the full articles go to your nearest Medical school library and search their files and journals. Another good option is to find a physician that belongs to the acam.org group, is an oxidative medicine doctor or functional medicine doctor and ask them.

Can infected root canals be the cause of Parkinson’s symptoms?
What is your take on the extraction of root canals. Do you believe in the Huggins Grube Protocol?
Have you ever had a Parkinson’s patient who was helped significantly by the removal of root canals?
Hi John,
Thanks for the questions.
The causes of Parkinson disease would have to be diagnosed by a holistic M.D. They can be found part of the acam.org, functional medicine, or oxidative medicine groups. I extract and cavitate the old fashion way that Dr. Huggins and Evans trained me on many years ago. I tend to evaluate new techniques for their effectiveness, costs and outcomes all the time and use the best holistic dental care I can for my current patients.
I have many Parkinson disease patients in my practice and I let my M.D. partners diagnosis and treat them while I provide the best holistic dental care I can to them.
